Embracing Yesterday's Tomorrow

The Community for Parents and Caregivers Raising Neurodivergent Kids

Life is meant to be experienced, but when you are all the things for all the people, survival mode becomes the default. When life is hard, you need connection to community that gets where you are, supports where you are going, celebrates the wins, and helps you through the hard.

You are not alone. You just found your people.

Does this sound familiar?

raising a Neurodivergent child, I frequently:

Together, we can end this cycle.

The Premier App for parents and caregivers Raising Neurodivergent Kids

Experiential Life

Almost everyday, I field calls, texts, and emails from people who desperately need help navigating education and health systems, but are actively peeling themselves from beneath a layer of confusion and frustration that followed their child’s diagnosis.

The systems are hard to navigate, the language and acronyms are hard to understand, and it takes time that most people just don’t have.

Experiential Life is a community that is designed with you in mind.

A mom is snuggled into the neck of her neurodivergent son, who is smiling - his missing two front teeth are prominent with his big smile.
An Asian man with Down syndrome stands in front of a counter with freshly baked bread, holding a knife. His sister has one arm around his shoulder and the other hand is guiding his to cut the bread safely.

Join live webinars (or access them when your schedule allows) with professionals and neurodivergent people. Learn about resources and services available for your child.

A woman holds her neurodivergent son's hand. They are sitting at the table with a drawing in front of them. Both are laughing.

Learn the acronyms and medical, educational, and legal words from people who work inside the system, so you can confidently communicate with them and better advocate for your child.

Connect with other parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent kids. Join our quarterly parent support group meet-ups, share your story, and find your people.

Meet the Woman behind the app

Hi, I'm Christy

“Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.”

~ Helen Keller ~

The day we received confirmation of my youngest son’s autism diagnosis, this quote became my North Star.

And yet, finding community, learning where to locate services and supports, and figuring out how to navigate all the systems left me feeling lonely, confused, and frustrated. I wanted to learn from people who walked this journey before me, and I wanted to pass that knowledge on to others.

Experiential Life is a community that brings together parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent kids, because you are not meant to walk this journey alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Developing this resource for parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent kids is a dream of mine. For over a decade I’ve tried to figure out how to support more people who share this journey, get the information they need in their hands and heads without barriers, and support the work of the many professionals and providers who support us and our kids.

App Overview

Who It's Perfect For

This App is intended for parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent kids, who crave community, need help navigating all the systems, communicating with providers, and locating information.

What It’s Really About

Making information and resources available, easy to understand and locate, empowering you as an advocate, and connecting you to the systems and professionals that support you and your child.

What are you waiting for?

It's time to join the community of parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent kids.

If you are tired of navigating this journey alone, frustrated with locating information about services and supports for your neurodivergent kids, and confused about who does what inside of each system…If you are ready to be a better parent, better advocate, and empower other parents and caregivers to be the same, this is your sign it’s time to make a change.

What's in the works

Experiential Life App

The inspiration for creating the Experiential Life App came from parents and caregivers just like you. It is with immense gratitude and a spirit of partnership that this project came to life.

I started working on this idea more than a decade ago. It started with founding a nonprofit in 2012 to “enhance the quality of life for children with special healthcare needs and their families across the lifespan.”

And, a physical location to provide support didn’t allow me to reach the ever growing number of parents and caregivers who crave community and need support.

Putting information directly your hands is a dream come true. Imagine the possibility of getting the exact information and support you need, in the exact moment you need it.
