About

Are you ready to be a better parent, better advocate, and empower other parents and caregivers to be the same?

If you are tired of navigating this journey alone, frustrated with locating information about services and supports for your neurodivergent kids, and confused about who does what inside of each system, you just found the solution you’ve been searching for.

I know first-hand how it feels

Your days of searching for information, resources, and support are over.

Almost everyday, I field calls, texts, and emails from people who desperately need help navigating education and health systems, but are actively peeling themselves from beneath a layer of confusion and frustration that followed their child’s diagnosis.

Life is meant to be experienced, but when you are all the things for all the people, survival mode becomes the default. When life is hard, you need connection to community that gets where you are, supports where you are going, celebrates the wins, and helps you through the hard.

The systems are hard to navigate, the language and acronyms are hard to understand, and it takes time that most people just don’t have.

Experiential Life is a community that is designed with you in mind.

Meet the founder

Hi, I'm Christy

When my son received his autism diagnosis in 2012, I felt – overwhelmed. It is the word that best describes my state of mind. Finding information about what to expect, but with no idea what to “Google”, left me spending hours in front of the computer – no closer to answers. I wanted to connect to other parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent kids, but didn’t know how, without over sharing or being socially awkward. I’ve met hundreds of parents and caregivers who share this same experience… Is that what brings you here today?

Developing this resource for parents and caregivers raising neurodivergent kids is a dream of mine. For over a decade, I’ve tried to figure out how to support more people who share this journey get the information they need in their hands – and their heads – without barriers. All while supporting the many professionals and providers who support us and our kids.

01

My Biggest Professional Accomplishment

When my youngest son received his autism diagnosis, I founded a nonprofit to enhance the quality of life for children with special healthcare needs and their families across the lifespan. I wanted to make sure that families like mine have access to the resources and services they need within the region they live. The nonprofit is still supporting families today.

02

What I Truly Believe IN

I believe that access to information, resources, and support empowers parents and caregivers to be better advocates for their neurodivergent kids. I want to meet you where you are today and help you navigate this journey with confidence.

03

What I'm Not About

You won’t find me pushing gimmicks or promising cures. I am not about making my son’s diagnosis my tragedy. Instead, I am all about empowering people who support neurodivergent kids so they have the tools, knowledge, and confidence to empower the people they support.

Fun Facts

In the winter, my favorite place to be is in front of the fireplace with a cup of coffee, snuggled under a fluffy blanket, and reading a book. In the summer, I am most often found by the pool with a book in my hand. In between, you can find me volunteering for my favorite nonprofit, taking a walk in the woods, or baking snacks for my three teenage boys with insatiable appetites.

What People are saying

I am profoundly grateful for the incredible support Christy has provided in navigating the complex landscape of services.
